Government Schools as Backbone of Education System and its role in reduction of crime and improvement in Human Development Index.

Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal Government in Delhi and Bhagwant Maan Government in Punjab have always promised and focused on improving Government School's machinery. Do you know why is it important?

Whereas in BJP-ruled states constant efforts are made to close down the government schools and a strong push for private sector schools is going on. this has led to the closure of many government schools in name of merging. The government schools in States like Gujarat do not even have sufficient teachers. Over 1200 schools in Gujarat Run on one teacher. So the question arises - Why the Government schools needed? and What is the effect of closing down and deterioration of government Schools?

Government schools are the backbone of education systems in many countries around the world, including many states within the United States. They provide access to quality education to millions of children who come from low-income families and cannot afford to attend private schools. However, the government school machinery is under constant threat due to budget cuts, mismanagement, and political interference.

The effects of closing down or deteriorating the government school machinery can be devastating for the development of a state. Here are some of the effects:

  1. Increase in Illiteracy Rate

The closure or deterioration of government schools can result in a rise in the illiteracy rate, which can have a long-term impact on the state's development. Without access to quality education, children from low-income families will not be able to acquire the skills they need to succeed in life. This can result in a generation of adults who lack the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the state's economy.

  1. Reduction in Skilled Workforce

The closure or deterioration of government schools can also lead to a reduction in the skilled workforce, which can negatively impact the state's economic development. Without access to quality education, children from low-income families will not be able to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to compete in the job market. This can result in a shortage of skilled workers, which can discourage businesses from investing in the state.

  1. Increase in Crime Rate

The closure or deterioration of government schools can also lead to an increase in the crime rate. Children who are denied access to quality education are more likely to drop out of school and engage in criminal activities. This can result in a generation of adults who lack the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to society and instead engage in criminal activities.

  1. Reduction in Human Development Index

The closure or deterioration of government schools can also lead to a reduction in the Human Development Index (HDI) of the state. The HDI is a measure of the development of a country or state, which takes into account the education, health, and income of its citizens. Without access to quality education, the education component of the HDI will be negatively impacted, which can result in a lower HDI.

In conclusion, the closure or deterioration of government schools can have a devastating effect on the development of a state. It can lead to an increase in the illiteracy rate, a reduction in the skilled workforce, an increase in the crime rate, and a reduction in the Human Development Index. It is essential for policymakers to prioritize the education sector and invest in the government school machinery to ensure that every child has access to quality education

Inflation and Commodity Exchange - a thought...

Commodity trading on exchanges is time and again being held responsible for the increase in the inflation in the essential commodities. Recently Silver touched price of Rs 75000 per kg and then came back crashing to Rs 50000 per kg. It was later found that the lots of speculative trading on the New York Comex was responsible for such a shootup in the silver prices. NY Comex then increased the margin requirement of trading in silver to 84% from 25% and then the prices came down drastically.. this establishes the nexus between the price rise and the speculative trading on the commodity exchanges.. In India on the commodity exchanges all the commodities are being traded and even speculated.. some having marign money requirement of as low as 12 to 15% and thus the prices shoot up because of the speculation.. For example if i can buy a lot of some food grain at 15% margin and one lot on delivery costs 100000 Rs.. i can buy the same for Rs 15000 in a vayada bazaar or the futures market and t...

Mr Prime Minister ... Lok Pal Here...

The Most Debated Question on the date in Indian Political Scenario is whether the Prime Minister and other of his colleagues should be under the purview of the Anti Corruption Machinery of Lokpal? Whether the Higher Judiciary should be covered under the same? The same is being discussed and criticized in the Public Also..  Yeh Publik hai bhai....  They Ask Kya Chupana Hai... ? Corrupt ho kya ... Jo Lokpal Se Bachna Chahte Ho....??? But is it that simple to decide whether the Lokpal Should have jurisdiction over the Prime Ministers office? For this we should know who will be a Lokpal? Lokpal will be a constitutional machinery which will have power to receive complaints of corruption against those covered under the same. It may have power to investigate or interrogate the concerned and others for coming to conclusion It may have power to order enquiry against the official found corrupt and may have powers to recommend the investigations again...

Education: A Key Driver of Social Change and Economic Development

Education is not just a means to acquire knowledge and skills, but a powerful tool that can transform individuals, communities, and societies. It can contribute to economic growth, social cohesion, and democratic governance. Education is a fundamental human right and a public good that should be accessible to all, regardless of their background or circumstances. However, despite its importance, education remains a contested and politicized issue in many parts of the world. Governments, civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders have different views and interests in shaping education policies and practices. This has led to unequal access to education, poor quality of education, and inadequate resources for education. To address these challenges, public policymakers and politicians need to understand the importance of education in shaping the society they want to create and serve. They need to recognize that education is not a neutral or technical matter, but a complex...
